Meet the Team

Sruthi Sentil

Founder and Executive Director of Big Bend Chapter

After spending the summer of 2020 tutoring children in foster care under the guidance of a case manager, she became aware of the need for one-on-one services for underprivileged youth. In collaboration with local community leaders, she founded BuddyKnit, facilitating and nurturing connections of youth volunteers to children in the foster care system. She hopes to not only connect but provide the resources to the matches for sustainability and longevity. Through mentorship and companionship programs Sruthi seeks to establish long-lasting relationships and support structures, promoting equity and compassion for all.
