Who We Are
BuddyKnit is a Tallahassee-based 501(c)3 peer tutoring and mentorship program, serving children from second to eighth grade, with a focus on children in foster care. Our hope is to support kids in crisis by surrounding them with a compassionate community, creating loving bonds with mutual respect, dignity and worth. We serve all counties in the greater Big Bend region and Escambia County!

Our Objectives
– Support kids in crisis by surrounding them with a compassionate community
– Create loving friendships between our students and volunteers, with a bond of mutual respect, dignity and worth
– Improve self-confidence within at-risk youth through engaging educational and social activities, bringing encouragement to the whole family
– Provide our youth volunteer base with a deeper level of the struggles faced by their peers, igniting a passion for service to be carried into adulthood
